It is unclear what the claim covers since dust clouds can look like anything depending on imagination.

The claim could also mean that the dust clouds were so hot that they were pyroclastic clouds.

Facts

When buildings collapse, enormous amounts of energy are released. Especially when the buildings in question are more than 400 meters tall. When the construction materials for the floors and walls also are primarily gypsum and light concrete, the collapse will result in a huge cloud of dust when the overlying floors destroy and pulverize them. Additionally, the main part of the volume of the World Trade Center 1 and 2 was air. In the process of the destruction of the World Trade Center 1 and 2, this air was pressed out of the buildings with a massive force creating the enormous dust clouds.

Pyroclastic clouds¹ only appear during a volcano eruption. It is an avalanche of extremely hot gasses and rocks that can reach a temperature of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius and move at speeds up to 700 km/h.

One example of such pyroclastic clouds is the destruction of the town of Saint-Pierre on the caribbean island of Martinique in 1902. The town was destroyed in a few minutes when the nearby volcano of Mount Pelée exploded, sending a gigantic pyroclastic cloud of superheated gasses and dust towards the town at speeds over 1,000 km/h. All 28,000 people died instantly except two².

There are no reports of charred bodies in the streets surrounding Ground Zero,which would be the case if “volcano-like dust clouds” had engulfed the area.

Logic

It is illogical to claim that “huge hot volcanic-like dust clouds” would point to controlled demolitions:

1. It would be strange if there had not been huge dust clouds when such huge buildings collapse.
2. There were still a lot of people in the vicinity of the World Trade Center 1 and 2 when the buildings collapsed. But nobody were killed due to the enormous temperatures that should have been present.
3. Controlled demolitions look different depending on what is demolished³. They do not look like the collapse of the World Trade Center 1 and 2 for the simple reason that there are no prior examples of such tall buildings being demolished. The comparison is thus undocumented and based on pure speculation.
