Flight 93 crashes

The hijackers probably planned to fly into either the White House or the Capitol building, both located in Washington D.C. When the passengers discovered this plan, they tried to recapture the plane, and they almost succeeded. The hijackers, however, beat them to it and chose instead to cash the plane down into a field in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, approximately 240 km northwest of Washington D.C. at 10:03:11 AM. The massive impact occurred at 906 km/h almost vertically and was so violent that the plane left a 3 meter deep and 12 meter wide crater. All 44 passengers, including 7 crew members and 4 aircraft hijackers, died on impact.
